Our History
1) Islamiya College
Long back in 1954 (Hijra 1373) there held an annual meeting of Al madrasathul Islamiya at Chennamangalloor. A delegate lead by PM Bavachi Haji from Kuttiyadi were also present in the meeting. By witnessing the annual event and attracted by its brilliance, the team from Kuttiyadi craved to have such an institution back home. They put forward the suggestion infront of the then Kerala Ameer of Jamathe Islami, Haji V P Muhammad Ali, fondly known as Haji Saheb. They also made this profound remark : "If you look after the academic side, we will take care of the financial part".
First Consultative Council
The subsequent meeting of Kuttiyadi regional Halqa shared plenty of praises about the aforementioned annual event. The same Halqa council unanimously agreed upon forming such an institution. Meeting also raised an initial capitial of 1000 rupees. The meeting was held in the prayer hall by the banks of Kuttiyadi river.
Kuttiyadi Islamiya College came to the fore officially on 1956 June 1 or Hijra 1375 Shawwal 20. The rest is history.
The constitution of Kuttiyadi Islamiya College Managing committee was registered on Hijra 1379 Ramadan 1 (1959 March 11).
Towering personalities like Haji VP Muhammad Ali and Haji M Abdulla Kutty Moulavi took hold of the academic foundation of the college. The college managing committee was under the inspiring leadership of Irikkoor PC Muhammed Haji also known as Mamu Haji (President), Kuttiyadi Oorath PM Bavachi Haji (Vice President) and TK Abdulla Moulavi (Secretary). These luminaries took charge of the day-to-day activities and provided infrastructural support.
Formation of Religious Education Trust (RET)
Until the deceleration of Emergency in 1975 the college was under the Islamiya College Managing Committee.After the dismissal of the committee, Religious Education Trust was formed.
The constitution of RET was registered on Hijra 1397 Muharram 10 (1977).
The final council of Kuttiyadi Islamiya College Managing Committee was held on Hijra 1396 Dulhajj 18 (1976 November 10). The meeting decided to dismiss the committee and form a trust. The meeting held on Hijra 1397 Muharram 9 (1976 December 31) drafted the final trust deed.
The founding present of managing committee PC Muhammed Haji (also known asMamu Haji) was also the first president of RET.
2) College of Quran (Kulliyathul Quran)
From 1999 June 1 (1420 Safar 16) Kuttiyadi Islamiya college was revamped and renamed as Kulliyathul Quran.
Main Objectives
1) To teach Quran as the main subject and impart interpretative learning of the Holy book.
2) To have mastery in Arabic language and literature.
3) To teach the philosophical grounds of Islam in the light of Quran.
3) Ibn Khaldun Institute of Social Science
The institute start functioning on 2014 June 1 (1437 Shaban 24) with Dr. Sadique PK Mampad as the founding director.
Main Objectives
1) To mould a generation of moral values, having an in-depth knowledge in the knowledge tradition of Islam along with intellectual prowess in the field of critical social science.
2) To develop social sciences and humanities in the frame work of Islam.
3) To know the history of Islamic civilization, and to uphold the present Islamic society with their intellectual capacity.manging committee.
